Exiled

"Exiled" - A slow-burn folk horror feature set in an isolated religious community where survival itself is treated as a sin. After a young man lives through a disaster that kills his father, the town erases him. No one may look at him, speak to him, or acknowledge that he exists. Those who do are taken by a silent, shadow-like force that enforces the community’s beliefs without exception.

This is an atmospheric, performance-driven film with minimal dialogue. Horror emerges through silence, social cruelty, and the terror of being seen. Performances rely on stillness, restraint, and internal conflict rather than exposition or jump scares.

WHY THIS FILM NOW

In a cultural moment shaped by polarization, erasure, and enforced belief systems, EXILED reflects the danger of communities deciding who is worthy of acknowledgment. The film examines how silence can be weaponized, and how collective denial allows harm to persist without accountability.
